Tram is a consummate professional. As an interpreter for a language of lesser diffusion she could be a successful interpreter without being certified. But that would not be Tram. She is committed to the high level of professional standards and skills that should be a basic requirement in our profession, both for herself and for her colleagues. Not only is she Nationally Certified herself, she is a highly skilled trainer of interpreters. She also is a tireless advocate for the right to equity and inclusion, which means equal access to the services we’re all entitled to through professional interpreters for all limited English proficiency (LEP) persons. Have I made her sound too serious? Yes, she is very serious about her profession but she’s a great friend and colleague and, I’m sure she’s great to work with for her clients. I recommend her in the strongest terms!!!
